Your mentor

Dr. Elissavet Lykogianni is a Greek-Belgian policy expert, researcher, and business mentor with extensive experience in EU policy research and advisory. She is currently the Managing Director of a network of SMEs and NGOs, including The Square Dot Team, Connectus, and Open Education Hub, which focus on developing innovative, socially responsible public policy solutions.

With over 26 years of professional experience, Dr. Lykogianni has worked across multiple European countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, Greece, and Italy. Her expertise covers education and vocational training policies, migration and social inclusion, research and innovation, and digital transformation.

She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2006), where she researched multinational enterprises’ strategic decisions in R&D and technology transfers. She also earned a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Throughout her career, she has held key positions in organizations such as Deloitte Consulting, IDEA Consult, and the Centre for Economic Research and Environmental Strategy. She has contributed to numerous EU-funded projects, particularly in policy evaluation and skills development.

Dr. Lykogianni has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and books and has presented her work at global conferences. She is fluent in Greek, English, and Dutch, with working knowledge of French and Italian.

Her vision is driven by inclusivity, teamwork, and creating meaningful impact in policy and research.
